The S16 car features a segmented electrical system, a fore and aft section, adjoined via military graded and hermetically sealed connectors from Deutsch. This gives increased resistance to water and wear whilst maintaining a high level of flexibility. The car is fitted with an increased number of sensors to improve both car setup and driver skill; the S16 car will be updated with new wheel speed sensors and suspension travel sensors. The Race Technology DL1 system will log all engine parameters outputted from the DTA Fast S80 Pro ECU as well as sensory and GPS data which can be used to analyse efficiency. This year the electronic dash will incorporate a RPM display in addition to the usual array of switches.
